Fencott & Murcott Parish Council : Alice’s Meadow, Murcott – Grasskeep
Sealed bids are invited to tender for the grasskeep of this land.
Alice’s Meadow holds historic significance in the protection of Otmoor as it was sold off in plots by Friends of the Earth to prevent the M40 motorway from being constructed here. It is now under the management of the Fencott and Murcott Parish Council who lease out grazing rights.
Alice’s Meadow is a 2.4 acre parcel of land bordering to the north of the Fencott/Murcott road and which is available for the grazing of animals. The new lease shall run for a period of 3 years beginning on 1 May 2020 and shall be awarded to the person or persons who supply the highest bid and who shall make a written undertaking to abide by the conditions of the Alice’s Meadow Agreement, a copy of which is displayed on a notice board adjacent to the entrance gate to the field.
Sealed bids should be delivered to the Parish Clerk, Fencott and Murcott Parish Council, 11 Otmoor View, Merton, Bicester, Oxon OX25 2NL by 31st March 2020. Bid information should include full contact details.
The successful bidder will be notified by 7th April 2020.
